Somerford Equipment’s Road Stud Installation Unit provides an effective solution for all stud installation requirements, from surface mounted reflective road studs to milled cat’s eyes. The vehicle features a tried and tested hydraulically operated milling head with controls mounted inboard of the vehicle body for optimum operator safety, alternatively this can also be cab operated.
Specification options include Somerford’s powerful debris suction system for removal of detritus from milled holes following the cutting procedure. The in-built waste storage area has a large capacity and comes with hydraulic tipping to ensure quick and effective disposal.
The Unit features a rear mounted low level bitumen preheater and tool heater alongside providing material for stud mounting. Ensuring all elements of stud application can be accommodated by a single vehicle and crew.
